League Manager allows you to pair opposing teams using player flights. There are seven pairing options available through the Tools menu on the Pre-Play Manage screen:

  1. Straight pair (A vs A, B vs B, ...)
  2. Cross pair (A vs B, C vs D)
  3. Cross pair (A vs C, B vs D)
  4. Cross pair (A vs D, B vs C)
  5. Mix pair (ABCD) - same as Straight pair
  6. Mix pair (ACBD)
  7. Mix pair (ADBC)

Keep in mind that League Manager pairs the first-listed player of one team against the first-listed player of the opposing team, the second-listed player of one team against the second-listed player of the opposing team, the third-listed player of one team against the third-listed player of the opposing team, etc. What the above pairing does is change the order in which players are listed in one or both teams matched against each other.

Teams will typically rotate through the three available cross pairs or three available mix pairs. That means that every fourth week you would be back to the same pairing mode.

Note that mix pair allows you to rotate through team mates so that each week you are playing with a different team mate than the week before. In cross pair, the same team mates are always paired together (i.e., A and B, C and D)...they just play against a player of different flight.
