“Allow golfers to post for themselves and other golfers they are playing with” setting

In my league I have that setting checked. We are in pre-play for event 1 and while golfers seem to be able to enter for their teammate, they can not enter for the group team they are playing against. I would have thought this meant 1 person could enter for the foursome (or do I have to enable “allow golfers to enter scores for any golfer in the league” to do that? Or do I have to put event 1 into play mode?
